About Jaxpointe at Saulsbury Court
Eight residents share a fully remodeled single-family ranch house at Jaxpointe at Saulsbury Court, a secure memory care community in Arvada that opened its doors in July 2015. The home is locked and set up for people living with Alzheimer's disease, Lewy body dementia, vascular dementia or Parkinson's dementia, and it also cares for residents living with the effects of a brain injury or a stroke. Two full-time caregivers are on duty for the eight residents during the day, a ratio of one caregiver to four residents, and one caregiver stays awake through the night.
All staff have completed training as Qualified Medication Administration Personnel and hold first aid and CPR certification, and the team is trained in memory care practices. Each resident has an individualized care plan shaped by the care team, the resident's own healthcare providers and the family, covering help with showering, dressing and grooming along with medication management and incontinence care.
The home has walk-in showers fitted with a shower chair, grab bars, non-slip flooring and a hand-held shower head. For medical needs beyond daily care, the house works with local health service organizations for home health, rehabilitation and hospice, and a staff member or family member accompanies residents on trips to the hospital or emergency room. Residents can remain in the house through the later stages of care, with home health or hospice coordinated in the home.
A hair stylist visits monthly to cut residents' hair, and a podiatry nurse comes to the house for foot and nail care. Meals follow a dietician-approved menu, with three home-cooked meals and snacks offered through the day. Lunch and dinner come to the table family style, and the breakfast hour is kept flexible. Twice a week a certified physical therapy assistant with 20 years of experience visits the house and works with residents on specialized exercise routines.
Musical entertainers perform at the home each week, and gardening, puzzles and crafts are also offered. Group outings have included the zoo, the aquarium, festivals, the Butterfly Pavilion and local car shows. Inside, the ranch layout opens into a large open floor plan, and the six bedrooms divide into four private rooms and two shared rooms, where residents keep their own belongings around them. Out back, a large and well-kept yard has walking paths, gardens and open space for recreation.
Visiting follows an open-door approach, and families are free to take a loved one out for a drive, a meal, a family event or a night away. One all-inclusive monthly rate applies regardless of the level of care, covering daily living assistance, medication management, meals and snacks, laundry, monthly haircuts, foot care, and incontinence management and supplies. The amount is not published, so families should contact the community to confirm current pricing.
Payment comes through private pay or long-term care insurance, veterans may qualify for the Veterans Aid and Attendance benefit, and charitable scholarships through the RG Memory Care Fund are available to residents and families facing financial need. The home suits families whose loved one is living with dementia, a brain injury or the effects of a stroke and who want care in an eight-resident household, with the choice of a private or shared bedroom.

Our father is currently at this facility and we have been very satisfied with the care over all! We took him out of a different care center because he was being neglected and loss a tremendous amount of weight so we started looking for a different facility and Jaxpoint was our…
My family and I visited and really liked the house, particularly the beautiful backyard. The caregivers asked questions about who my mom is and were very knowledgeable and enjoyed their jobs. The house was very clean. We chose another location that was better suited to my mom.
They pay way too much for this assistance living. Employees really don’t have experience or knowledge on how to take care of these people. I fee sorry for the clients. Floors are dirty and the clients are usually wet or unattended when needed. Think twice before going there! 😠
I have known a couple of people that have moved into Jaxpointe. Your owners Russ and Gayle really care about their residents. Your family will get the love and care they deserve with this company.
Thought about putting my grandmother here until I toured an absolutely FILTHY house. Unacceptable if the space isn't cared for how can my love one be cared for?
