About RSL Colorado Springs
RSL Colorado Springs sits on Briargate Parkway, in the Briargate neighborhood on the city's north side, and keeps assisted living and memory care together under one address instead of splitting them into a separate locked unit. Forty residents call this single building home, a scale well below the large campuses common elsewhere in Colorado Springs. Staff support assisted living residents with day-to-day tasks, chiefly showering, getting dressed, and staying on top of medication times.
Memory care residents live inside that same community footprint rather than crossing into a separately secured area, so the people and spaces they know stay constant even as their support needs deepen. RSL Colorado Springs works entirely on private pay; there's no Medicaid contract here, so families cover the monthly rate out of pocket or draw on long-term-care insurance they already carry. The day mixes group activity time with quieter stretches set aside for residents who need one-on-one attention or a slower pace.
Meals happen on a set schedule, and staff watch those mealtimes for changes in appetite or mood worth noting to families. For residents living with memory loss, that steady rhythm often works better than a day that shifts from one hour to the next. Combining both care types at a mid-size scale suits families searching for assisted living and memory care under a single roof, without the size of a much larger operation.
Independent living apartments aren't part of what's offered, Medicaid isn't accepted, and pets aren't currently allowed; it's worth double-checking directly if any of that matters to your search. Penrose Hospital is a short drive south via Interstate 25, close enough for both scheduled appointments and anything more pressing, and the shops and restaurants clustered around Briargate Parkway and Powers Boulevard cover groceries, meals, and errands nearby.
Between its combined-care model and its Briargate address, RSL Colorado Springs gives north Colorado Springs families a single mid-size option for assisted living and memory care, rather than a campus spread across multiple buildings.
Environment
RSL Colorado Springs is one building on Briargate Parkway housing 40 residents, with assisted living and memory care sharing the same address instead of being split across separate wings. Residents living with dementia remain among faces and rooms they already know rather than transferring into a separately counted secured unit.
Services
Caregivers assist residents with showering, getting dressed, medication timing, and moving safely through the day. Memory care support happens at that same hands-on level inside the community, adjusting as needs deepen, and the whole operation runs private-pay, with no Medicaid contract in place.
Resident Experience
Group activities run alongside quieter one-on-one moments for residents who need extra reassurance or a slower morning. Meals arrive on a set schedule residents can rely on, and that predictability tends to serve people managing memory loss especially well.
