Greenridge Place

Greenridge Place, at 7700 West 101st Avenue in Westminster, Colorado, is a 76-bed memory care community that serves only people living with Alzheimer's disease or another type of dementia. Its residents span a range of stages of memory loss, and the staff caring for them are trained in dementia and center that care on each individual person. The residence is in Jefferson County, in a quiet residential neighborhood that looks out toward the Rocky Mountain foothills.

Nurses are available at any hour, and medical management continues through the day and the night. Each resident has a personal, customized care plan, and that plan is reviewed every 90 days. Alongside help with daily activities and medication management, staff offer residents encouragement, compassion and attentive listening. Visiting physician, specialized nursing and podiatry appointments are available, with clinical services arranged through partnerships with local professionals.

The Vigil real-time alert and silent alarm reporting system is in place, and the community describes its environment as secure. The dementia-trained team leads the Pathways of Purpose life-enrichment program, which is built on care centered on the person. Through It's Never 2 Late interactive programs, residents can use special online content for recreation, learning and mental stimulation, whatever their ability level.

LifeLoop technology is also among the tools that Greenridge Place has integrated into the community. Student groups visit for music and conversation, therapy animals come regularly through local partnerships, and residents can plant in the garden. Residents also have use of a professional hair and nail salon that offers barber services. Menus are prepared by a chef and approved by a nutritionist, with a-la-carte options offered alongside them.

Greenridge Place works with each family and the resident's physician to decide on a nutrition and meal plan, and special diets are accommodated. Four suite styles are offered, with two beds and one bath in the Companion Suite and in the Private Suite with Shared Bath, and one bed and one bath in both the Private Suite and the Deluxe Private Suite. Individual climate control and a walk-in shower are included in every suite.

Suite rates are listed starting at $5,140 per month, and the current rate can be confirmed directly with the community. Outdoors, the grounds hold landscaped courtyards and walking paths, along with a garden where residents do their planting. Inside, wide hallways run through the building, and its corridors and common areas are planned so that residents can move about safely and freely. Concierge reception at the front desk is staffed from 8 in the morning until 8 in the evening.

Greenridge Place is set up for a person living with Alzheimer's disease or another dementia who needs memory care in a secure setting. Payment here is private and Medicaid is not accepted as a source of payment for care, while the suite styles include two with two beds and one bath and two with one bed and one bath. In the surrounding neighborhood, the Big Dry Creek Trail lies about a quarter mile away in a straight line, and Sensory Park is a little under half a mile away.
