About Thomas Park Assisted Living and Memory Care

On Irma Drive in Northglenn, Colorado, Thomas Park Assisted Living and Memory Care occupies a converted home designed for a household of sixteen, not a sprawling campus meant for hundreds. Adams County contains the property, and neighboring Thornton and Westminster sit close enough that families from both cities often consider it. Because the household tops out at sixteen people, staffing and daily pacing follow the rhythm of a single home rather than the shift patterns a larger campus would require.

Cost, whether Medicaid can help cover it, and how close a hospital sits are usually the first questions families raise, so this overview addresses each one up front. Bathing, dressing, prompts to take medication on schedule, and help navigating the building safely make up the assisted living portion of daily care here. Memory-related support threads through those same daily habits instead of living inside its own separately staffed unit.

As a resident's cognitive needs increase, caregivers simply add more hands-on guidance instead of relocating that person to a different area. That structure lets someone who arrives needing only light oversight keep the same bedroom and habits even as dementia symptoms advance. One dining area seats the whole household together, and because a steady staff group cares for this compact group of sixteen residents continuously, a skipped meal or a shift in someone's mood tends to draw attention fast.

Activities happen in small clusters rather than large planned events, and daily structure relies on consistent meal and rest times rather than a packed calendar built for a sprawling community. Families picturing hundreds of neighbors, elaborate outings, and a full events board should know Thomas Park was built around a different, smaller scale altogether. Money matters get a straightforward answer because Thomas Park bills every resident privately, without accepting Medicaid as payment.

Assisted living care begins with a published monthly rate of $5,500, while memory care starts from a published monthly rate of $6,800, so families typically draw on savings or other financial resources to cover those costs. Family members considering a move-in with a companion animal should plan differently, since the community cannot make room for a resident's pet, meaning alternate arrangements need to happen before move-in.

Saint Anthony operates a North Health Campus in Westminster, a short drive from Irma Drive, keeping both routine and urgent medical care within reach. Irma Drive itself stays quiet and residential, though everyday shopping and pharmacy stops remain close by for family members running errands between visits. Because the household stays compact, caregivers at Thomas Park tend to remain with the community for extended stretches, so families often see familiar faces across many visits rather than meeting new staff each time.

That continuity matters in practice: a caregiver who already knows when a resident likes to wake, what meal they favor, or how they prefer assistance offered can act on that knowledge without a written handoff.

Environment

Thomas Park sits inside a house-style building along a quiet street in Northglenn. One shared living and dining area anchors the floor plan rather than a maze of long hallways, so all sixteen residents move through space sized like one large house instead of a sprawling institutional campus.

Services

Bathing, dressing, prompts to take medication on schedule, and support moving through the building make up the assisted living portion of daily care. Memory-related help threads through those same routines throughout the day rather than sitting inside a separately run unit.

Resident Experience

Daily life at Thomas Park feels like sharing one home with fifteen neighbors rather than navigating separate wings of a bigger complex. Staff who see the same sixteen faces every day tend to notice small shifts in a resident's mood or routine quickly.

My dad has been in this facility just a short time. This is all new to my family and me. However, the staff has been absolutely fabulous! A special shout out to Belinda and Fabian. They go over and above not only to care for Dad, but to make sure the family feels welcome any…

You guys should try to work on treating your employees like human beings so that they stay and you wouldn’t be forced to bring in agency staff constantly who have no experience in memory care. You should also care more about the meals your patients are served instead of once…

Absolutely awful and unethical place! This company should be investigated. Don’t ever put your loved ones in the care of these people

This place raises medication doses on residents when they speak out or act up in order to sedate / pacify them. Overmedication is common in this industry, and they can get away with it. Absolutely illegal and intolerable.

These ladies are amazing with the work they do (in those expectations) and with the pay they that receive !!

Frequently Asked Questions

What care does Thomas Park offer?

Thomas Park provides assisted living support for bathing, personal dressing, medication prompts, and help navigating the building safely, and memory care threads through the same household routines rather than operating inside a separate locked unit. Caregivers add memory-related support gradually as a resident's needs become more involved.

How much does it cost to live at Thomas Park?

Assisted living begins with a published monthly rate of $5,500, and memory care begins with a published monthly rate of $6,800. Thomas Park bills every resident privately, so families should budget around these figures instead of expecting a public program to offset costs.

Does Thomas Park accept Medicaid?

Medicaid billing is not part of the payment structure at Thomas Park; every resident pays privately for care. Anyone counting on Medicaid to help fund a parent's stay should factor in that limitation well before a move-in date.

Where is Thomas Park located?

Thomas Park sits on Irma Drive in Northglenn, Colorado, part of Adams County, near where Thornton and Westminster meet the city line. St. Anthony operates the closest hospital campus, located in Westminster.

How many residents live at Thomas Park?

Sixteen residents fill the household at Thomas Park, giving the building a scale closer to a large single home than a multi-story facility. That size shapes daily routines, including how meals are shared and how closely staff can track each person's wellbeing.

What is dining like at Thomas Park?

One dining space hosts every meal at Thomas Park, sized for sixteen residents rather than a large communal hall. Staff who know each resident's preferences and dietary needs prepare and serve those meals daily.

What activities are available for residents?

Small-group activities and a steady daily rhythm shape the schedule at Thomas Park, sized for its sixteen-resident household rather than a packed calendar of scheduled outings. Many residents settle comfortably into this kind of predictable routine.

Are pets allowed at Thomas Park?

Thomas Park cannot make space for a resident's companion animal, so a family whose parent owns a pet should line up another caretaker or home before the move happens.

What makes the caregiving team at Thomas Park distinctive?

Because the household stays small, Thomas Park keeps much of its caregiving staff for long stretches, so families tend to recognize the same faces across many months rather than facing frequent turnover. That steadiness helps caregivers notice small changes in a resident's health or mood sooner.
