Public money does not reach these bookings, and it is worth knowing that early rather than building a plan on it. Where help occasionally exists is in a long-term-care policy written years ago carrying a respite clause nobody has read, or in veterans provision for someone enrolled with the veterans health system. Both are slow to confirm, which argues for asking in August rather than in the week the dates matter.
