Abbington Layton

Abbington Layton is an assisted living and memory care community on the south edge of Layton, Utah, with doors that opened in 2022. The construction reflects the build year, current-code sprinklers, elevators serving both stories, wide corridors throughout, and finishes selected to handle pets without showing wear. The building runs 94 apartments across two floors in studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts, with a separate locked entry for the memory-care wing that operates on its own programming team.

The pet-friendly policy is one of the biggest reasons families choose Layton, and the design reflects it throughout the building. Vinyl plank flooring runs throughout for cleanability, an in-house pet-care add-on covers walking and feeding when residents need help, and a dedicated dog-walk loop runs along the south fence behind the building, with cats welcome too on similar accommodations. Care planning is concierge-style for assisted-living residents, with weekly housekeeping, daily medication management, and scheduled bus service on Tuesdays and Thursdays for medical and grocery trips across the area.

Care levels adjust as residents' needs change, and the same team supports them from move-in through later stages of care. Daily life moves through bright common spaces filled with natural light from the south-facing dining hall, where rotating chef-driven menus come out three times a day. A bistro handles late-morning coffee, and the patio stays pet-friendly during dining hours. Layton runs entirely on private-pay, which means Medicaid placement isn't currently part of the offering.
