About Mesa Vista Assisted Living Residence
Mesa Vista Assisted Living Residence sits in Parachute, a small Garfield County town strung along the Colorado River on the state's West Slope, and it houses 37 residents who need daily support with personal care but not memory care or skilled nursing. A medical office directly across the street from the building gives the community a locally rare advantage: routine physician visits without a long drive.
Every resident here follows a single assisted living track. Staff assist with medications, dressing, bathing, and general movement throughout the day, with someone on hand around the clock. As a resident's needs change, the level of support can adjust without a move to another building or program. Mesa Vista carries Medicaid-provider approval, so families may apply Medicaid benefits toward monthly costs instead of paying entirely out of pocket, and short respite stays give families a way to test the setting before committing to something longer.
The pace inside Mesa Vista matches the unhurried rhythm of a small Western Slope town. Meals come together in-house and residents eat together in a shared dining room. Ahead of a move-in date, the maintenance staff routinely helps incoming families measure rooms and work out furniture placement, taking one worry off a stressful transition. A community van fitted with a wheelchair lift also carries residents to appointments and outings around Parachute and Battlement Mesa, keeping daily life from ending at the front door.
Families drawn to a small-town setting for a parent's assisted living needs will find Mesa Vista fits that search, and its Medicaid status opens up payment options many communities don't offer. Because the community operates on one level of care, it isn't suited to a resident who needs memory care or skilled nursing, and pets cannot come along. Parachute sits on Interstate 70 in Garfield County, between Rifle and Battlement Mesa on Colorado's West Slope.
Grand River Health in Rifle covers hospital and emergency needs a short drive away. Everyday shopping and dining are close by in Parachute and Battlement Mesa, with a fuller range of stores and restaurants a short drive west in Rifle. Mesa Vista runs as its own community rather than as one property inside a national portfolio, keeping its attention on a single Garfield County town. Medicaid access and respite care pair here with a maintenance and administrative team known for hands-on, responsive help through a resident's move and the months that follow.

The staff here are wonderful, caring and do the job so well. I feel safe knowing my Mom is cared for here and she gets good nourishing meals and they really make her happy.
This place is only in it for the money. My own mother wasn't helped when she fell and she had to call the emergency number cause they didn't help. And literally kicked her out when she needed help cause they didn't care
My mother lives at Mesa Vista and the care is compassionate and professional. Feels like home.
This place should be shut down cause they can't even take care of anyone
